Creating a product subscription process periodically (daily, weekly, and monthly) enabled the customers to add products for various dates and set preferable delivery timeslots. The customization allowed customers to pay via different payment modes and renew/ pause/ resume/ cancel subscriptions, at their convenience. Based on their subscription preference, the Order is generated one day before delivery.
The limitations of a brick-and-mortar store are immense. Al Rawabi’s products were delivered to only a few pre-defined locations in the UAE. To tackle this missed opportunity, geo-fencing polygons were created on Google Maps, that require validation if the map pointer is set outside the delivery zone.
Surviving in the market today without the convenience of an app is a tough ask. Citytech created a mobile app on iOS and Android to streamline the order management of Al Rawabi. The Sales orders are moved to the Pick&Pack app, and the warehouse on receiving the order, packages the items and attaches the packing slips. The Delivery Executives load the items and mark them as “Out for Delivery”, from where it reaches the customers. The buyers receive in-app, Email, and SMS notifications for each action.
Despite being a market leader, Al Rawabi faced an uphill task to conquer the market due to the absence of a high-functioning digital front.
